Well here we are…halfway through the season already. Time flies when you're in misery/heaven every week because of your fantasy team. I'm here to help you reach the promised land. I have 3 starts and 3 sits for each position for you. Let's take a look:
Sam Darnold @ MIA- Let's face it. Miami is terrible. If you need a flyer for week 9, grab a Jet. Darnold has shown some good and some bad this year, but he should be good for 20+ points in this game.
Derek Carr vs DET- Carr has been decent this year. He gets an easy matchup at home vs a bad secondary. This game should develop into a shootout which is great for fantasy.
Matthew Stafford @ OAK- As mentioned earlier, this game should develop into a shootout. Stafford has been great this year for an undrafted fantasy asset. If you need a QB this week, I'd grab Stafford if he is available.
Baker Mayfield @ DEN- Denver has been awesome against opposing quarterbacks this season. With the game being in Denver, the defense has the edge in this one. Not to mention, Mayfield has been pretty terrible all year.
Carson Wentz vs CHI- Wentz has been up and down so far. Chicago's defense hasn't been as good as last year, but they're still a good defense. If you have an option with a better matchup I would consider starting them over Wentz.
Jameis Winston @ SEA- There's just something about Winston playing at Seattle that screams disaster. Seattle definitely has a home-field advantage. Couple that with the fact that Winston is a turnover machine, I'd look elsewhere for a quarterback.
Phillip Lindsay vs CLE- Lindsay has been a decent flex this year. Although he's splitting time with Royce Freeman, he is still getting it done. Cleveland has been susceptible to the run this year, allowing some big performances from the position.
Derrick Henry @ CAR- Henry had a tough matchup last week against the Bucs. Look for a bounce-back week against a mediocre Carolina defense. The volume is definitely there along with the touchdown upside.
Jordan Howard/Miles Sanders vs CHI- Chicago has been subpar against the run this year. They still have a good defense, but they are weak against the run. If you are looking for a bye week fill-in or a flex, I recommend using Howard or Sanders this week.
David Montgomery @ PHI- Montgomery had a good week last week as Chicago got back to the basics. Coach Nagy realized that they weren't running the ball enough. While I believe that he will stick with the run, the Eagles are really good at stopping the run. If you have an option with a better matchup I would go that route.
Mark Ingram vs NE- Ingram has been quite steady up to this point. The Patriot's defense is just plain nasty though. Pair that with a great offense, I don't see the Ravens running a ton in this one. Ingram may save his day with a touchdown, but I wouldn't count on it.
LeSean McCoy vs MIN- The Chiefs backfield has been a mystery to most of us this year. It's hard to trust any of these guys. Minnesota also has a pretty stout defense. I'd look for a high upside play before I put McCoy in my lineup this week.
Tyler Lockett/DK Metcalf vs TB- TB has a pretty good run defense. Their pass defense is pretty awful though. Look for both Seattle receivers to have big days. Lockett will most likely break a long one and I think that DK is good for a redzone touchdown. Plug and play!
Allen Robinson @ PHI- Here is another case of a team having a good run defense and a bad pass defense. The Eagle's secondary is decimated. Look for Chicago to take the easier route and throw the ball against Philly.
Tyrell Williams vs DET- Williams had a great return last week. Look for him to continue that success against a weak Lion's secondary. This game has shootout written all over it and Williams will benefit from that big time. Fire him up.
Terry McLaurin @ BUF- Buffalo's defense is nasty. Add to that the fact that Haskins will be starting at quarterback, and I am not starting Not So Scary Terry.
DJ Moore vs TEN- I'm not a huge fan of Moore this week. I mean if you have to start him in PPR he may be alright, but I see an average day coming for him. The Titans have a nice defense and Carolina will be looking to run CMC to a victory. Leave Moore on the bench if you have the luxury.
John Brown vs WAS- Brown has been consistent this season. I'm not a huge fan of this matchup against Josh Norman. If you have a better option I'd start them over Brown. However, you could do a lot worse so don't panic if you have to start Brown.
Jack Doyle/Eric Ebron @ PIT- The Colts preferred weapon(TY Hilton) will be out for the next 3 or 4 weeks with a calf injury. his will free up a bunch of targets. The tight ends will most likely be more involved than usual. If you need a streamer for the week, grab one of these guys.
TJ Hockenson @ OAK- As I said earlier, this game is going to be a shoot out. Hockenson is becoming a staple in this offense. If you're looking for a tight end, don't be afraid to rely on the rookie!
Jonnu Smith @ CAR- Delanie Walker has been declared as inactive. Enter Jonnu Smith. Tannehill has brought life back to the Titan's offense. He isn't afraid to throw downfield. Smith may be able to fill the shallow tight end spot for you this week.
Mark Andrews vs NE- New England's defense has been incredible in the first half of the season. I personally don't like to play anyone against them. If you have the option to grab a streamer with a good matchup, do so.
Jimmy Graham @ LAC- The Chargers have only allowed 1 top 10 tight end so far this year. Graham hasn't been great to begin with. I'd look elsewhere this week.
Zach Ertz vs CHI- Ertz appears to be facing competition for touches lately. Couple that with the fact that he attracts more attention and Chicago having a solid defense, I'm not a huge fan of Ertz this week. Chances are if you have Ertz you are playing him, but I'd temper my expectations.
