This is it. All your hard work. All those long nights staying up to see if your waiver wire transaction was successful. All that overthinking. All those trades. All that stress. It all boils down to this weekend.
It's still not over though. You can't relax just yet. There are so many injured players this week that decisions will be made moments before game time. Don't worry. I'm here to help you out some.
Derrick Henry, RB, Titans
No more second guessing this. The Titans have made their decision and so should you. Henry will carry the load from now on. 50 carries the last 2 weeks. Not only is he getting the workload, but he's producing too (238, 170 rushing yards the last 2 weeks). The Titans are still in the hunt and running the ball is the plan for them.
Mike Williams, WR, Chargers
Keenan Allen maybe good to go, but we saw what kind of weapon Williams could be down by the goal line. I'm not sure how healthy Allen is, but this is more of a bite of confidence towards Rivers and Williams. If Allen is playing at less than 90%, it wouldn't surprise me to see Rivers go to Williams more often.
Robert Foster, WR, Bills
Foster has received 96 and 84 percent of the snaps the last 2 weeks and has eclipsed 90 yards in 4 of his last 5 games. The Bills are obviously cycling through WRs to see who sticks and Foster looks like he will. He's not the best guy to start but with all the injuries this week, he looks to be suitable.
Damien Williams, RB, Chiefs
Looks like the starting RB will be relevant no matter who it is so far. And it looks like Williams will get the opportunity to start again. He played well but what's also important is that he's on a team that will keep the ball moving down field and give him opportunities to score.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers
Limited on Thursday and missing on Friday. Even if he plays, it's risky inserting him into your lineup. It's an away game for Big Ben. The Saints defense is coming alive at the right time. And even if JuJu is on the field, he maybe more of a diversion. If he's seen going full strength on the field before the game, that helps, but a groin injury during the week would be hard to come back from in just a couple of days.
Peyton Barber, RB, Bucs
Barber against one of the league's best run stopping defenses doesn't sit well with me. The Cowboys are coming off a week where they were held scoreless. This game is also in Dallas. I believe the Cowboys will be focused this week and play angry as they still have to try and lockup ths NFC East. He may score a TD but don't look at him to produce much of anything else.
D.J. Moore, WR, Panthers
When Newton is the starter, that alone gives me reservations about starting Moore. But now that Taylor Heinicke is the starter, I'm definitely sitting Moore. McCaffery should be running all game and Moore may get some opportunities as well, but it's going to be tough trusting him.
Kenny Golladay, WR, Lions
Golladay will draw the Vikings who are looking to fight to stay in the playoff picture. I know I had Golladay in last weeks “out” section and no, I haven't learned my lesson. And one day I will be right. The Vikings sacked Tannehill 9 times last week and that defense is turning the corner.
