Week 10- Waivers Edition

November 5, 2018

My waiver additions are based off of 10-man leagues. I use the average ESPN percentages and stats to supply the information I use within my waiver additions. Some of the players listed may be taken in your league, but I will go in depth to add deep waiver additions as well. I broke it down by position, listing it by the most value at the top leading to the least value at the bottom. I will try not to list players from week to week but there are no promises. As we go week to week, the waivers will become more and more barren. Make sure you make your waivers count, as they are what help you build a winning team. Players from last week that would still be solid waiver pickups if they are available: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Blake Bortles, Devontae Booker, Nyheim Hines, Josh Adams, Marquez Valdes Scantling, Jack Doyle, and Chris Herndon.

Alex Smith, QB- Washington Redskins- 49% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: TB, HOU, DAL, PHI

Smith has been an up and down ride this season, posting great weeks and sub-par week. But his upcoming matchup is too good to pass up. Sneaking in right under the 50% owned mark, he is a solid bet to put up low end QB1 rankings this week against a porous Bucs Defense. If you are dealing with a Bye week, or just need an upside play Smith should be your target this week.

Nick Mullens, QB- San Francisco 49ers- 0.8% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: NYG, BYE, TB, SEA

From zero to hero, Mullens came into the starting role last Thursday and stole the show. Now this may be because the Oakland defense is really bad, or that Mullens really is talented. Only time will tell, but if you are in a deeper league and are in need of a QB with upside Mullens is a decent target. This week Mullens plays against a Giants Defense who has been beat all year. Mullens is a QB2 with upside.

Running Backs

Mike Davis, RB- Seattle Seahawks- 18.5% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: LAR, GB, CAR

With Chris Carson injured, Davis is back into the Fantasy realm. It isn’t clear how serious Carson’s injury is, but if he is out Davis has a decent bump in most rankings. While the Rams matchup is not sublime, he should have a big enough workload to put him in the flex category with upside this week.

Elijah McGuire, RB- New York Jets- 9.4% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: BUF, BYE, NE, TEN

McGuire is back, and has already helped fill the void after Powell has gone on IR. His upcoming schedule is not one to be scared of either, as in most games the Jets will be playing from behind. Leaving McGuire as the main beneficiary to be targeted in those matchups. McGuire is a decent add, he has flex appeal W/ upside.

Kapri Bibbs, RB- Washington Redskins- 1.7% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: TB, HOU, DAL, PHI

Bibbs had a solid week in what was a shootout with the Falcons this past week. If Thompson is out again, Bibbs could very well have a solid fantasy day against a suspect Tampa Bay Defense. If you are in a tough spot, Bibbs can be rostered as a low end flex/ Bye week fill in.

Wide Receivers

Adam Humphries, WR- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- 2.7% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: WSH, NYG, SF

Humphries, the new stud of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over the last two weeks, he has been one the most targeted players on the team.  With a decent upcoming schedule, Adam should continue to see a workload good enough to give him flex appeal with upside.

Tyrell Williams, WR- Los Angeles Chargers- 31.4% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: OAK, DEN, ARI

Williams was just on this list the other week. He is a consistent red zone target for Phillip Rivers, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop. Williams continues to be a boom/ bust this week against an extremely week defense.

Maurice Harris, WR- Washington Redskins-0.1% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: TB, HOU, DAL, PHI

A deep league add, Harris had a great week against the Falcons. He is an add for those who had have a dire need for wide receivers, or who need an upside play. His chances of getting another 10- 124-0 is not likely. But if Crowder continues to be out, Harris could have decent value for the rest of the season.

Tight Ends

At a position that has such a large fluctuation of points scored, any type of solid production is always acknowledged.

Jeff Heuerman, TE- Denver Broncos- 7.9% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: BYE, LAC, PIT, CIN

Over the last two weeks, Heuerman has had two touchdowns. When it comes to the tight end positions, touchdowns are really the main thing we hope for. Denver has a bye week, but after this week has a nice schedule for the tight end position. He is an add and wait, but if you are in a pinch Heuerman could be a nice rest of the season tight end.

Nick Vannett, TE- Seattle Seahawks- 2.5% Owned

Upcoming Schedule: LAR, GB, CAR

The Seattle Offense has been all over the place, especially at the tight end position. Last week is was Dickson, this week is Vannett. So it is anybody’s chance to succeed. Vannett is a desperation add, at a weak position. He could be boom or bust this week against a Rams defense that was just thrashed by the Saints.
