Week 5 Starts & Sits

October 7, 2018

Start - Blake Bortles

Matchup - Chiefs

It's hard to keep up with the Chiefs, and in 3 out of the first 4 weeks the Chiefs allowed an average of 29 fantasy points to the QB position. The Broncos are a good defense and led to a game script that was different than the first few games. Playing the Chiefs is always going to be an easy matchup for offenses as they lost a lot of key pieces and this should be no different for week 5. Look for around 300 yards and 2.5 TDs.

Confidence - 7.8/10

Sit - Russell Wilson

Matchup - Rams

What has Wilson done to show that he is a top Tier QB in fantasy this year? Nothing!!! He lost Richardson in free agency, he has Baldwin at 80%, he lost his TE, and he his running game has been hit or miss. The Rams are a tough Opponent and this game could be a complete blowout.

Confidence - 8.8/10

Start - Matt Breida

Matchup - Cardinals

The Cardinals have been very effective in stopping the passing game of opposing offenses, but that is because they have been terrible in run defense. They allow the most fantasy points to Running backs in the league with over 35 points per game. With CJ Beathard in the game, he has tended to pass to RBs and TEs at an incredible rate so when passing situations come Brieda looks to be a great option for this week.

Confidence - 9.4/10

Sit - Carlos Hyde

Matchup - Ravens

The Ravens have been a Black hole when it comes to fantasy points, the suck the life out of any teams production leaving very little points in you starting lineups. Also they finally have Jimmy Smith back who was an elite CB last year which will enforce the defense even more. The Ravens have allowed the least amount of fantasy points to the RB position with 13.5 ppg which when split between 3 RBs is not a lot of production.

Confidence - 9.9/10

Start - All 3 Rams Receivers

Matchup - Seahawks

We all have seen how the Rams offense is an incredibly hard team to contain. Now when you take an incredibly hard team to contain and give them a matchup against the team that gives up the 4th most fantasy points the WRs and take out Earl Thomas, it could get ugly. The Seahawks give an average of 47.8 points a game to a team that the top 3 WRs average 59.7 ppg. I just don't know how they are going to stop the Rams unless they get into garbage time and they pull the starting receivers.

Confidence - 13.2/10

Sit - Davante Adams

Matchup - Lions

The Lions are one of the best teams to face in a get right game for an offense. Aaron Rodgers should have his way with all of his receiver except Davante Adams who will get the Darius Slay treatment. Slay has been an elite playmaker for the lions defense. If you not the Cowboys teams usually target the the other positions and it usually works out for the other teams.

Confidence - 7.2/10

Start - Mike Gesicki

Matchup - Bengals

Wow, the TE position is in the trash right now and fliers are going to have to be taken for the next few weeks while players are getting healthy. Gesicki could be that flier for fantasy teams because he plays the Bengals who give up the second most fantasy points to the TE position with 17.4 per game. Gesicki is an elite athlete and all it takes is a TD to be Relevant for this week.

Confidence - 6.9/10

Sit - David Njoku

Matchup - Ravens

Like I said for Hyde, the Ravens are the Black Hole of defenses when it comes to fantasy points. They allow the 3rd least amount of fantasy points to TEs with 7.4 ppg given. Njoku has been non-existent so far this season. I would not expect the Breakout game of Njoku to happen against the Ravens. I know times are rough, bot pass one more week on him.

Confidence - 8.3/10
