Start - Case Keenum
Matchup - Chiefs
This start has more to do with the projected game script than with how good Case Keenum is as a player. We all know that Mahomes is having an incredible year, and at the pace that the Chiefs are scoring, the broncos will have to score to stay in the game. They may not be able to keep up just like the past QBs with Chiefs, but their defense have given up an average of 29.3 points to the QB position.
Confidence - 8.8/10
Sit - Carson Wentz
Matchup - Titans
The Titans have developed into very tough defense to play as a passer. They always seem to keep the scores low on both offense and defense and have figured out a way to win lower lower scoring close games. Carson Wentz coming back did not have his best game, but still came out with the win. Wentz is a week away from what looks like a fully healthy Alshon, and will have better matchups later in the year that Tennessee who gives up 11.9 points to the QB position.
Confidence - 7.5/10
Start - Sony Michel
Matchup - Dolphins
This is looking like a phenomenal start for week 4 because of the Burkhead Injury. Now there are two RBs that are fantasy relevant in NE, and it is clear who is the one with 3 down potential. I do not expect Michel to get the whole passing load, but just a few targets can boost his value dramatically. The Dolphins give up 29.3 points total to the RB position in PPR, and Sony should receive the bulk of the load in the backfield.
Confidence - 8.3/10
Sit - James Connor
Matchup - Ravens
The Ravens are a very good defense, they have a very good D-Line and an impressive defensive back core when Jimmy Smith is playing. With Smith returning next week I would expect the Steelers to exploit that avenue more than the running game. Even without Smith the Ravens give up the second least amount of fantasy points to RBs with 15.3 total.
Confidence - 6.9/10
Start - Tyler Lockett
Matchup - Cardinals
Wilson has to pass the ball somewhere, and with Baldwin just returning from a knee injury, he will probably be on a snap count. With Baldwin coming back it means that Locket will not be facing Patrick Peterson nearly as much and should give him a solid matchup to exploit. Lockett is explosive with the capability to score on any play.
Confidence - 7.1/10
Sit - Amari Cooper
Matchup - Browns
Denzel Ward is as good as advertised. He is a very twitchy cover corner who can keep up with elite route running. He will not be out sized by Cooper who stands only 3 inches taller than him. The Browns defense has been the team’s savior lead by and elite pass rush that has helped the corners tremendously. This has lead to to the browns give up the 3rd least amount of fantasy points to the the WR position and that most likely won't change after playing the Raiders.
Confidence - 9.2/10
Start - Mark Andrews
Matchup - Steelers
This is for the owners who need to throw a dart in deeper leagues. The Steelers went from being the second best team against the TE last year to the second worst team against the TE. The Ravens seem to use Hurst in more of a pass blocking way and use Andrews as the bigger pass catching option usually playing out of the slot. Losing Shazier may be the biggest part of this decline, and I would expect a manageable game from Andrews for this game.
Confidence - 7.7/10
Sit - George Kittle
Matchup - Chargers
Derwin James and company are just beastly against the TE position, because they have allowed a measly 3.3 points to the TE position. Repeat 3.3 points to the TE position. I get that George Kittle is a good player, but James is better. With the 49ers losing Jimmy G I would expect a lot of dump offs to the RB and slot. Easy targets to players in shallow routes will be Bethards bread and butter.
Confidence - 9.8/10
