Trade Cheat Sheet Week 9

Week 8 was one of the toughest for me this season with me losing matchups against two teams with JuJu Smith-Schuster in their starting line-up. I also lost in my home league against a team with Will Fuller, Deshaun Watson and Baltimore DST, so it’s fair to say I got demolished. Week 8 is over now, and with plenty of big trades in the NFL this week it’s made me excited to get more trades through. The best trade I’ve made so far is with a team who has bye week problems, who also happens to be playing me this week. I traded away Andy Dalton (his only available QB who he is starting), which is great because I was planning to drop him anyway, and Josh Doctson for Adam Thielen. I feel great about it as I have plenty of depth to cope with the bye week. Try and get some deals done, good luck.

Sell High

JuJu Smith-Schuster

Putting in a massive performance in week 8, thanks to 97-yard touchdown from Big Ben, and Martavis Bryant being relegated to the scout team has really boosted his trade value. He will be a boom bust flex play each week and with all the hype around him it’s a great time to see what you can get for him.

Texans WRs – DeAndre Hopkins + Will Fuller

I’d be leaning towards selling them both before Tom Savage takes the field. Will fuller will have more of a drop-in production than Hopkins but I’m not expecting the massive numbers they have been posting with Deshaun Watson under center. Their matchups during the fantasy playoffs are truly horrendous, with them playing against the Jaguars and the Steelers.

Alshon Jeffery

After one of his best games of the season you need to sell him now. He’s the no.3 in the Eagles passing attack behind Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor. With Alshon Jeffrey being a big name it shouldn’t be too hard to shift him. Go trade him away this week and improve your team.

Jamison Crowder

He had his biggest stat line of the year, and more than what I was expecting from him before the start of the season. I wouldn’t expect him to continue to put up the numbers like he did in week 8, and with the Redskins receivers it’s hard to pin down which one is going to have the big game. Tell people he’s back and sell him.

 Buy Low

Steffon Diggs

If you can trade for Diggs on his bye week it’s a great time to acquire him. He didn’t have a great stat line in London, but he looked close to full health. With a bye week to help get him game ready I would expect him to put up big numbers in the rest of the season. Go buy him before his price rises back to the high price it should be.

Tyrod Taylor

He has a soft schedule to finish the year and with the new addition of Kelvin Benjamin, and Charles Clay coming back soon Taylor is in a great spot to put up big numbers. With his rushing ability he has a great weekly floor, and some leagues hes still available. I’d advise you to pick up or trade for him on the cheap.

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott put up his lowest score of the season with the Dallas running backs rushing all over the 49ers, meaning now is the perfect time to acquire his services. The offense will lean on Dak more when Ezekiel Elliott eventually gets his 6-game suspension (who know). Dak can hurt teams and put up big points with his passing attack and rushing ability. When Elliott does serve his suspension Dez Bryant should get more targets in the red zone and both are good buy low options with it all in the air.

Sterling Shepard

Hes been dropped in quite a few leagues and if you are in one of those leagues pick him up, but if you are not I’d certainly try and trade for him. Should have a solid weekly floor with being the no.1 receiver for the giants. Eli Manning can make him fantasy relevant so get him while he's cheap.

Week 10 sneak preview

Buy Low

Jay Ajayi

Not this week as he is playing the Broncos in his debut for the Eagles, but next week when he’s on his bye week and owners are worried about him you go and get him on your team. Teams won’t be able to stack the box, and with a better O-Line he’s going to get back to his RB1 status.

Just because I have a player to sell on this list doesn’t mean they are about to become dreadful and not worth owning. They will still have value, but the players I’ve suggested to sell high I don’t expect to stay on the same level that they started the year on.

My last quick tip is if you are struggling for wins and are sitting on Drew Brees, Russell Wilson or Tom Brady I’d become a QB streamer and cash in on your top QB. It’s the easiest position to stream with plenty of options available each week.

Use your brain when working out trades but if you are struggling ask us on twitter @TimJablonski and @TheHateful8FF and we can help you out! If you get a big trade through let me know on twitter, I love nothing more than hearing trades you guys have done.
