Week 8 Waiver Wire Targets

Lots of things going on in the world of the Hateful8FF writer's guild, but we always make time to drop the best and brightest knowledge on you to help you win your league. This time we're helping you out with some Week 8 Waiver Wire Targets that you can snag up.

Josh Doctson - WR (13% owned)

Here's the deal. There is no guarantee with Doctson's production. However, he finished Monday night's game with the second highest snap count amongst the Redskins WRs behind only Crowder and he finished with 24 more targets than Pryor. He's also got a decent matchup against Dallas this week where Cousins should be able to get him plenty of looks. Combine all that with Gruden saying that they want to see what he can do then he should have ample opportunity to succeed and I believe he's got the talent to do so.

Marvin Jones, Jr. - WR (62% owned)

Chances are Jones is taken in your league, but if he is not then grab him up now. Tate is set to miss time to recover from his recent injury which should mean more targets for Jones on the outside. Jones was already posting a 45.5% catch rate on passes of 20+ yards which is good for fourth highest in the league right now and he's currently accounting for a 32.21% share of Detroit's air yards so far this season. Jones is a viable WR3 while Tate is out.

Kenny Stills - WR (18% owned)

Stills has been the main beneficiary with Parker missing time and while Parker may be returning from injury soon, Stills should still be picked up if need be. With Matt Moore presumably starting for the Dolphins in Cutler's absence, Stills should see plenty of targets and have plenty of opportunities to score a long TD and win your week. Here's a fun fact: Kenny Stills' averages 15.12 PPR fantasy points per game when Moore is the quarterback versus 8.85 PPR fantasy points when he is not. He also averages 1 TD per game with Moore at the helm. If you need upside to win your week then start Stills and don't look back.

Jalen Richard - RB (8% owned)

Because of Marshawn Lynch's excellent decision making skills, he's gotten himself suspended which means Richard's time has come to shine. Even before Marshawn's suspension, he was struggling to produce anything, fantasy related or otherwise. Richard has come in and ran with purpose when he gets his opportunities which has lead him to a current average yards per carry of 4.5 and he should be a decent one week rental if you're in a tight bye week spot.

Rex Burkhead - RB (2% owned)

I'm going deep on this one, but hear me out. Burkhead saw 13 snaps and 7 touches in the Patriots bout against the Falcons. Also, Burkhead was seeing use as a slot receiver before he was injured earlier this season. If these trends continue and he can establish a role in this offense similar to James White's then Burkhead is a strong PPR stash candidate.

Finally, I don't advocating using waiver claims on Quarterbacks. However, if you are in need for a QB option then the aforementioned Matt Moore should be a viable option as long as he starts in Cutler's absence.
