Quick-Fire Takes

Football is an unpredictable game but I have decided to make some bold predictions about this season.  Let me impart my wisdom upon you.  

 

Atlanta Falcons 

Julio Jones breaks his NFL touchdown record catching 11+ this season. 

Matt Ryan finishes outside the top 10 for quarterbacks. 

 

Arizona Cardinals 

Larry Fitzgerald doesn’t reach 1000 yards this year. 

David Johnson rushes for 15+ rushing touchdowns and catches 10+ receiving touchdowns. 

 

Baltimore Ravens 

Danny Woodhead receives the most targets and receptions on the team. 

Jeremy Maclin does not reach 1000 yards receiving. 

 

Buffalo Bills 

LeSean McCoy gets most receptions on the team. 

Jonathan Williams gets over 150 carries this season. 

 

Carolina Panthers 

Panthers finish 4th in their division. 

Kelvin Benjamin has his best year and catches 90+ passes. 

 

Chicago Bears 

Mitch Trubisky starts 14+ games this season. 

Cam Meredith receives 110+ targets and gets 1100+ yards. 

 

Cincinnati Bengals 

Tyler Eifert plays 16 games for the first time in his career. 

Andy Dalton finishes as a top 10 QB. 

 

Cleveland Browns 

Isiah Crowell gets 250+ carries and scores double-digit touchdowns. 

Duke Johnson leads the team in receptions. 

 

Dallas Cowboys 

Dak Prescott finishes the season outside the top 12 QB. 

Ezekiel Elliott rushes for 1200+ yards and finishes the year as a top 10 RB even with being banned for the first 6 games. 

 

Denver Broncos 

DeAngelo Henderson will be a top waiver wire add this season and will finish as a top 12 RB at least one week this season. 

Jamaal Charles plays 5+ games this year but on a different team. 

 

Detroit Lions 

Kenny Golladay breaks rookie receiving yards record, rookie touchdown record, is named offensive rookie of the year, is named Time’s man of the year and wins a Nobel Prize. 

Ameer Abdullah gets over 200 carries this season. 

 

Green Bay Packers 

Davante Adams gets more receptions and touchdowns than Jordy Nelson. 

No Packers running back gets over 150 carries. 

 

Houston Texans 

D’Onta Foreman gets at least 5 rushing touchdowns this season. 

DeAndre Hopkins fails to reach 1000 yards this season. 

 

Indianapolis Colts 

Andrew Luck misses 6+ games this season. 

Jack Doyle scores 10+ touchdowns this season. 

 

Jacksonville Jaguars 

Blake Bortles is benched and Chad Henne starts more games than him. 

Jaguars D/ST finishes as a top 5 D/ST this season. 

 

Kansas City Chiefs 

Tyreek Hill will have a 3-touchdown game this season (good luck picking that week). 

Kareem Hunt to out-touch Spencer Ware this season. 

 

Los Angeles Chargers 

Phillip Rivers throws for his most yards in a season ever, over 4,792 yards. 

Keenan Allen has 8+ games with over 100 yards receiving in each. 

 

Los Angeles Rams 

Cooper Kupp to double Sammy Watkins receptions. 

Todd Gurley doesn’t finish as a top 5 RB any week this season. 

 

 Miami Dolphins 

Julius Thomas scores double digit touchdowns. 

Jarvis Landry has his lowest reception total for a season, less than 84 receptions. 

 

Minnesota Vikings 

Dalvin Cook finishes as the top rookie running back this season. 

Laquon Treadwell beats his record for receptions this season. 

 

New England Patriots 

Rex Burkhead will score more touchdowns than Mike Gillislee. 

Dion Lewis to be traded before week 2 of the regular season. 

 

New Orleans Saints 

Coby Fleener gets 8+ touchdowns this season. 

Ted Ginn doubles Willie Snead’s touchdowns this season. 

 

NY Giants 

Shane Vereen finishes as the top running back for the giants this season. 

Sterling Shepard gets more receptions than Brandon Marshall. 

 

NY Jets 

Bilal Powell doubles Matt Forte’s rushing and receiving stats for the year. 

Robby Anderson finishes the season as a top 24 wide receiver. 

 

Oakland Raiders 

Marshawn Lynch doesn’t reach 1000 yards from rushing and receiving this season. 

Amari Cooper totals over 1400 yards this season. 

 

Philadelphia Eagles 

Wendall Smallwood scores more touchdowns than LeGarrette Blount. 

Zach Ertz reaches 1000 yards receiving for the first time in his career. 

 

Pittsburgh Steelers 

Martavis Bryant scores 15+ touchdowns. 

Le’Veon Bell rushes for over 1800+ yards. 

 

San Francisco 49ers 

Brian Hoyer finishes as a top 15 QB. 

Pierre Garcon is the most targeted receiver in the league this season. 

 

Seattle Seahawks 

CJ Procise finishes the year with the most rushing yards. 

Tyler Lockett scores 4+ 50yard touchdowns.  

 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 

O.J. Howard doesn’t catch a touchdown this season. 

Cameron Brate catches 10+ touchdowns. 

 

Tennessee Titans 

No Titans wide receiver gets over 100 targets. 

Derrick Henry scores double digit touchdowns. 

 

Washington Redskins 

Jamison Crowder gets over 120+ targets from Kirk Cousins. 

Jordan Reed will suit up for less than 10 games this season.
