Bounce Back Candidates

Nothing hurts more than being burned by a fantasy player that you thought was going to win you a championship...nothing. Luckily, these players have the potential to not only win you a championship, but you can also get them at a great value since the pooped the bed last year. These players are some prime bounce back candidates for the 2017 fantasy football season.

Allen Robinson (WR - JAX)

As a Robinson owner for the majority of 2017, I feel the pain that many owners felt from Blake Bortles. I remember watching Bortles lollygagging passes about the field while Robinson and crew looking more and more dejected. With that being said, all signs point to Bortles getting back to basics and getting his act together and if this is true then watch out for the steal that will be Allen Robinson. Robinson is currently going at the 3.09 spot (WR14) in 12-team leagues, but he very well has the potential to be a top-5 WR if the Jags offense can click like it did in 2015. Combine Bortles’ improvement with the addition of a decent run game in Fournette and it’s hard not to believe that Robinson can bounce back.

Andy Dalton (QB - CIN)

Dalton is one of my favorite late-round QBs to target this season and I’ll be looking to scoop him up in all of my drafts. Dalton had a very disappointing season in 2016 and finished well below his normal mark, but he also was working with one of the most injury riddled offensive groups of the year with Green, Eifert, and Gio Bernard all experiencing injuries and missing games. With those pieces back and with the addition of Mixon and Ross, Dalton is poised to be a prime bounce back candidate. He’s currently being drafted as the QB17 in the 11th round, but I’m willing to take him as my QB8.

Todd Gurley (RB - LAR)

No one disappointed fantasy owners more than Gurley in 2016. Everyone took him expecting top 5 talent, but their return was definitely not worth the investment. However, Gurley is primed to bounce back. He’s got a much better group around him and most importantly, he doesn’t have Jeff Fisher holding him down anymore. Fisher was holding Gurley down more than people think and he still has top-5 upside, but now it comes at a late 2nd round price. He’s currently being drafted as the RB12 in the 2.07 spot.

Hopefully, this article will help guide you to a league championship instead of another disappointing letdown. Regardless, everyone can be a value if they fall to the right spot so be sure to draft smart and draft often!
