I’ve been doing a ton of MFL10s on MyFantasyLeague.com recently which have left me in a tough financial situational but I believe in the mantra of ‘Speculate to accumulate ‘and I will be loaded when all my teams get in the money come the end of the fantasy season, otherwise my kids won’t be getting any Christmas presents. Here I have some of my best players to target to get you to cash in your MFL10,
Andy Dalton ADP 95.34
My favourite quarterback in MFL10s is Andy Dalton. The red rifle has always been at the butt of jokes but this year I’m planning on taking him as my fantasy quarterback. With the Bengals using their 1st round pick on a John Ross, the fastest player in the NFL, to stretch the field for Dalton this year the Bengals have one of the strongest receiving corps in the league and Dalton should prosper.
This year Dalton still has A.J. Green who missed six games on the roster and if he can stay healthy, that alone will make Daltons numbers go up. Tyler Eifert missed a lot of time last year through injury and still won’t be 100% at training camp but if he can get back to full health for the start of the regular season he will be a great red zone threat and hopefully replicate his 13 touchdowns back in 2015. Dalton also has 2nd round draft pick Joe Mixon to lean on who is widely expected to take over most of the running back work. At college he showed great catching ability in the back field and can make plays anywhere on the field. Tyler Boyd is the favourite to man the slot for the Bengals and Brandon LaFell is the biggest loser from the Bengals drafting John Ross and will see considerably less snaps unless injuries occur. With all the options at Dalton’s disposal he has no excuse not to have a good year. Their offensive line has lost some of its star players this year and won’t be as good as previous years but
this should push his passing percentage up. He has definite top 10 upside and I’m backing him to have a good year.
It won’t be a popular pick but Dalton is ridiculously cheap this year and on paper he has no excuse not to have a better year stats wise, so use one of your picks and cross your fingers we get a good year from Andy Dalton. He will have some massive weeks which will help get you in the money.
Others to consider
Brian Hoyer ADP 180.28
Mike Glennon ADP 188.57
Doug Martin ADP 109.29
My favourite running back for MFL10s is Doug Martin, last year Martin was being drafted in the 2nd round in most fantasy leagues and at that price he was certainly a bust for the year when he only managed to play eight games in 2016 and his 2.9 yards per carry were the worst of his career only managing 421 yards and 3 touchdowns off 144 carries. The 2015 season Martin carried the ball 288 times and rushed for over 1,402 yards and 6 touchdowns in his most productive year since his rookie year.
This year Martin is suspended for the first 3 games of the season and with Tampa Bay also adding another name into the backfield with their 5th round draft pick Jeremy McNichols are why Martin’s price is so low this year. He has been working hard this off-season and the coaches have been impressed. Teams will not be able to stack the box against Tampa anymore with receivers like Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson and their 1st round draft pick Tight End O.J. Howard to contend with.
His ADP is 109.29 so if you can get him in the 8th or later he should be a great pick When he gets back on the field week 4 he will be no.1
in the backfield again and can replicate his 2015 form again and put up some massive numbers.
Others to consider
Danny Woodhead ADP 130.18
Jonathan Williams ADP 167.66
Terrence West ADP 167.81
Tim Hightower ADP 244.64
Pierre Garcon ADP 120.01
My favourite wide receiver target in MFL10s Pierre Garcon, he is reuniting with head coach Kyle Shanahan at the 49ers this year which should see his receiving numbers go up. The last season the two were together Garcon led the league in receptions with 113 back in 2013. Without Shanahan, Garcon puts up 10.2 points per game but with him he averages 15.8 points per game in PPR scoring. I like those numbers. With Jeremy Kerley and Marquise Goodwin the only other noticeable receivers on the roster Garcon will be the no.1 receiver on the team. The 49ers currently have Brian Hoyer as their quarterback and he may not be great but he can keep his receivers fantasy relevant.
If you’re lucky fantasy players will be off Garcon as he hasn’t had as many opportunities in the last couple of seasons at Washington but he has had a safe floor in PPR leagues for a while now. Being reunited in a Shanahan offence his floor is only going to get higher. With MFL10s using PPR scoring Garcon is going to be a stud in this format. His ADP is currently in the 10th round but I have no problem going earlier for him. You won’t find a safer pick for your team this
late on and with double up leagues now on MyFantasyLeague he is a must have.
Others to consider
Martavis Bryant ADP 75.31
Tyrell Williams ADP 135.3
Robert Woods ADP 187.79
Kamar Aiken ADP 243.18
Zach Miller ADP 224.05
My favourite tight end target in MFL10s is Zach Miller, he suffered a lisfranc fracture in his right foot back in November to cut short what was on course to be a decent season. In ten games last season Miller caught 47 passes for 486 yards and four touchdowns. He’s currently the no.1 tight end on the depth chart for the Bears but they did sign Dion Sims who is primarily known for his blocking and they also spent a 2nd round draft pick on Adam Shaheen, but if Miller is healthy he will be the man.
The Bears undoubtedly have one of the weakest receiving cores in the league with Cam Meredith, Kevin White, Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright and Markus Wheaton they can use all the help they can get. With quarterback Mike Glennon joining this off-season and the Bears 1st round draft pick, Mitch Trubisky, competing to be the no.1 they will be hoping to get Zach Miller back to full fitness to give them a safe option in the passing attack.
His ADP on MyFantasyLeague is 224.05 so you can get him in one of the later rounds of your mfl10s. Health is the biggest issue with Miller
but at his current value you won’t find many better tight ends this late on, with him being one of the main red zone threats for Chicago he could have some big weeks.
Others to consider
Jack Doyle ADP 132.41
Cameron Brate ADP 188.54
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins ADP 223.08
Jacksonville Jaguars ADP 197.5 – Quality D/ST on paper, should be on for a big year. Great strength of schedule is a plus too.
Los Angeles Rams ADP 229.5 – A great D/ST with a new defensive coordinator in Wade Phillips. His defenses are always good for fantasy football.
